Brian Baker

Brian Baker has extensive work experience in security and risk management roles. Brian currently serves as the Director of Security and Risk Management at UNRWA, where they are responsible for advising on strategic and policy issues related to security risk management. Prior to this, they worked as the Regional Security Advisor at UNICEF, coordinating security operations in the MENA region and providing guidance to Country Office Representatives. Brian also held roles at the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, where they served as a Senior Field Security Officer and later as a Field Security Officer. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Manager for MENA at Unity Resources Group and as a Consultant at the same company. Brian began their career as a Security Awareness Instructor at the International organization for migration.

Brian Baker completed their Msc in Security & Risk Management at the University of Leicester from 2005 to 2007. In 2012, they obtained a Certification in Security Analysis Process & Practises from UNDSS. In 2013, they completed a Certification in the UN Security Certification Programme, also at UNDSS.
