Kenny Liao

Kenny Liao has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Kenny is currently serving as the Head of Marketplace, Supply & Support at Upwards. Prior to this, Kenny worked as an Advisor for Instavagas and Rookie, providing guidance on sales, marketplace operations, fundraising, and other aspects of the companies. Kenny also owned and managed Coast 2 Coast Sports Cards & Collectibles, an online business specializing in sports cards and collectibles.

In their previous roles at Wonolo, Kenny held several leadership positions, including Regional Director (General Manager) for the West Region, Director of Supply, Director of Supply Retention & Experience, and Interim Director of Support. Kenny was responsible for overseeing regional strategy, team management, customer relationships, worker growth initiatives, and crisis response efforts.

Kenny has also served as an Advisor for SkillCat, offering expertise in worker acquisition/retention strategies and other startup-related topics in the HVAC/Electrical/Plumbing industry.

Additionally, Kenny has held positions at Ara Labs Inc., Chariot, Uber, and Shift, where they played key roles in driver operations, market expansion, business development, and operations management.

Throughout their career, Kenny has demonstrated strong leadership, strategic thinking, and expertise in team management and customer engagement.

Kenny Liao holds a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Entrepreneurship from UCLA Anderson School of Management, earned from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a focus on Finance and Marketing from The University of Texas at Austin, from 2001 to 2005. In addition, they have obtained a certification in Advanced Excel from Skillsoft in 2005.
