Sarah Davelaar

Sarah Davelaar, MBA has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Currently, they are the Marketing Director at Urban Acres Real Estate, where they lead marketing efforts for Iowa City's top real estate agency. Prior to this, they worked as a Content Marketing Manager at ACT from 2018 to 2021.

Sarah also has experience in the healthcare industry, having served as a Digital Health Content Strategist at The Signal Center for Health Innovation from 2016 to 2018. Before that, they worked as an eHealth Content Specialist at The University of Iowa Health Care in 2015.

Additionally, Sarah's experience includes roles in marketing and communications. Sarah was a Marketing and Communications Specialist at Wright Service Corp. from February 2015 to August 2015, where they coordinated marketing efforts for multiple companies. Earlier, they worked as a Marketing Coordinator at The University of South Dakota from 2013 to 2015.

Sarah has also worked in the field of digital marketing, serving as a Digital Marketing Manager at The Funding Farm in 2013. Prior to that, they gained experience as a New Media Specialist at the University of Sioux Falls in 2012.

Sarah's work experience is further complemented by their early career as a Soccer Referee with the United States Soccer Federation, demonstrating their diversity of skills and interests.

Sarah Davelaar, MBA, holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of South Dakota. Prior to obtaining their MBA, they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication (Public Relations), Advertising, and Marketing at Waynesburg University. During their educational journey, Sarah also participated in the American Studies Program, where they focused on Global Development, Entrepreneurship & Human Development, as well as Leadership and Vocation. Additionally, they studied abroad at CEA Rome, where they explored the Culture of Food and Wine of Italy and learned Beginner's Italian.

In terms of certifications, Sarah has achieved the AMA Certified Professional in ManagementTM from the American Management Association, obtained in September 2020. Sarah is also a Certified SAFe® 5 Scrum Master and a Certified SAFe 4 Agilist, both acquired from Scaled Agile, Inc. in July 2021 and March 2020, respectively.
