Camellia Noriega

Camellia Noriega has extensive experience in legal roles across various organizations. Camellia most recently worked as an Associate General Counsel at USA Triathlon, where they were responsible for governance, legal, risk, compliance, and athlete safety. Camellia led athlete wellbeing programs and oversaw governance requirements.

Prior to that, Noriega worked as a Senior Attorney - Litigation at NextEra Energy Resources, where they provided legal advice and developed strategies for resolving and litigating claims. Camellia also supervised outside counsel and collaborated with internal businesses to defend claims.

Noriega began their career as an Associate Attorney at Mandel & Mandel LLP, where they researched and analyzed legal issues, created regulatory strategies, and developed evidence for litigation cases. Camellia Noriega earned a J.D. degree with an emphasis on antitrust and trade law from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where they studied from 1998 to 2001. Camellia also briefly attended Universidad Panamericana in 1999 to study Mexican Law and International Trade. Prior to their law degree, they obtained a B.A. in U.S. Government and Public Policy from Wesleyan University, where they studied from 1992 to 1996. In 1995, they participated in the Vassar-Wesleyan-Colgate Program in Spain, although the degree and field of study for that program are not specified.

In terms of certifications, Noriega obtained a Florida bar license from The Florida Bar in April 2013 and an Illinois bar license from the ARDC: Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission of the Supreme Court of Illinois in November 2001.
