Sheri Trahern

Sheri Trahern has a diverse work experience in various executive roles. Sheri is currently serving as the Chief Financial/Operating Officer at USA Triathlon since January 2023. Prior to this, they worked as an Executive Coach/Consultant at Envision Within, LLC since January 2019 and as an Interim CFO/Consultant at Harlan County Health System from June 2020 to December 2022. Sheri has also held significant leadership positions at Centura Health - St. Thomas More Hospital, including Chief Executive Officer from December 2013 to January 2019 and Chief Administrative Officer from October 2010 to December 2013. Additionally, they served as the Chief Financial Officer at Centura Health - St. Thomas More Hospital/St. Mary-Corwin Hospital from December 1999 to December 2011.

Sheri Trahern holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Accounting from Regis University, which they obtained from 1994 to 1996. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting from Colorado State University Pueblo, where they studied from 1981 to 1986.

In addition to their formal education, Sheri Trahern has obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skills and knowledge. These certifications include mastering the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument from Kilmann Diagnostics in March 2020, becoming a Predictive Index Certified Partner from The Predictive Index in March 2020, and achieving Certified Coach status from the Hudson Institute of Coaching in December 2019. Sheri also completed the Psychology of Leadership program at Cornell University in April 2019 and the El Pomar Executive Leadership Program at the Center for Creative Leadership in August 2014.

Furthermore, Sheri Trahern completed the Transformational Coaching Program offered by Blue Mesa Group in October 2009 and earned the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (ICGB) certification from Six Sigma in April 2007. Sheri became a facilitator through FranklinCovey in September 2005 and obtained the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) designation from SHRM in July 2021.

To broaden their expertise, Sheri Trahern achieved a Life Wellness Coach Certification from American Aerobic Association International (AAAI) & International Sports Medicine Association (ISMA) in March 2020. Sheri also earned the Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) title from the American College of Healthcare Executives in January 2012. Moreover, Sheri Trahern became a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Colorado in May 1996 and obtained a Strength Conditioning & Weight Training Consultant Certification from AAAI & ISMA in March 2018.
