Herbie Huesman

Herbie Huesman has extensive experience in the financial sector, particularly in real estate lending and capital markets. Currently serving as GM, Head of Real Estate Lending at USAA since May 2019, Herbie has held several leadership roles including GM of Real Estate Operations and Capital Markets, and Head of Real Estate Capital Markets with responsibilities spanning operational management and strategic site leadership. Prior to USAA, Herbie worked at Fifth Third Bank from October 2005 to May 2019, where notable positions included SVP, Head of Mortgage Capital Markets, and SVP, MSR & Investor Reporting, overseeing critical aspects of mortgage operations and risk management. Earlier career positions at Navy Federal Credit Union involved trading and analysis roles focusing on secondary marketing and risk management. Herbie holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame.
