John Fitzgerald started their career in 1994 at Manulife, where they quickly progressed from an individual contributor to holding leadership roles. John led a team of 5 Managers responsible for leading a team of new business annuity service specialists. In 2002, they joined John Hancock Financial Services as the Director of Annuity Operations, guiding the Inforce Annuity Customer Service team through the acquisition of the John Hancock Annuity business. John then became the Vice President of Personal Financial Services, where they launched a startup and developed a business strategy to mitigate retirement business asset leakage. From 2013 to 2018, they served as the Sr. Vice President of Strategic Relationship Management at John Hancock, where they crafted and executed a strategy to elevate retention rates, performance, and employee engagement. Currently, they work at USI Consulting Group as the Vice President of Retirement Services, where they consult on fiduciary responsibilities and supports business owners in designing employee retirement plans.
From 1988 to 1993, John Fitzgerald attended Northeastern University, where they studied Business Administration, Management and Operations. John did not complete a degree at this institution. In 2012, they enrolled in the High Potentials Leadership Program at Harvard Business School, where they are currently pursuing their degree.
