Sandy Buik M.Sc., PROSCI®, ICP-ACC has extensive work experience in various leadership and advisory roles. In their current position as the Global VP People at ValGenesis, Sandy is responsible for building global people systems and aligning the team across different regions. They are also an Advisory Board member at Life House, a hotel brand and software platform company. Sandy has a background in founding and mentoring, as seen in their role as the Founding Activator, Mentor, and Resource at Coralus. They have also served as the VP People at Polaris/NorthStar Digital, where they played a crucial role in the company's growth and received recognition for their contributions to women in the workplace. Sandy was an early investor and advisory board member at Kira Talent, which was later acquired by ETS. They have worked as a fractional/interim HR executive in various VC- and PE-backed SaaS and Canadian companies. Additionally, Sandy has served as an Advisor at The Big Push, supporting women tech founders, and as an early investor and advisor at Project Spaces, a coworking space network. They have volunteered as a mentor at MaRS Discovery District, providing guidance on building teams and scaling startups. Sandy also took a leave to care for their family as part of their work experience.

Sandy Buik M.Sc., PROSCI®, ICP-ACC has a degree in MSc (Econ) in International Human Resources and Industrial Relations from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). They also have a BA (Hons) in Business Psychology from Queen's University. In terms of additional certifications, they have completed the Remote Work Coach Boot Camp from Oyster®, A Design Thinking Approach to Putting the Customer First from LinkedIn, and a Certified Facilitator program from DDI | Development Dimensions International. Sandy is currently pursuing a Certifcate in Energy Innovation and Emerging Technologies from Stanford University School of Engineering and has participated in the PROSCI Change Leadership program from Prosci. They have also completed an Executive Research Program in Strategy and Innovation in scaling companies from Henley Business School.
