Rainer Platz

Rainer Platz has extensive work experience in the medical device industry. Rainer started their career at ETA SA/Swatch Group, where they worked as an Adjoint Scientifique, assessing new technologies in various domains. Rainer then joined Phonak Communications AG, where they held multiple roles, including Director of Research & Development and Head of Research & Development. During their time at Phonak, Platz played a crucial role in developing breakthrough platforms and product portfolios, leading to significant sales growth and market leadership. Rainer also worked as Director of Research & Development at Valtronic Technologies Group before becoming the company's CEO. In their current role, Platz is responsible for designing and manufacturing innovations in the medical device industry. Prior to that, they worked at Advanced Bionics AG/Sonova Medical Division, holding various high-level positions such as President of Advanced Bionics, LLC and Vice President of Global Research, Development & Technologies.

Rainer Platz completed their education in the field of Electrical Engineering.
