Brent Hansen

Brent Hansen has a diverse range of work experience in the field of additive manufacturing and engineering. Brent most recently worked at Velo3D as the Director of Business Development and Sales on the West Coast. Prior to that, they were a Senior Technical Business Development Manager at the same company. Before joining Velo3D, Brent worked at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems as an Additive Manufacturing Application Engineer, where they provided estimations and recommendations for new AM applications. Brent also held the position of Metal Additive Manufacturing Engineer at the same company. Brent has experience in the medical field as well, having worked at NuVasive as a Senior Development Engineer, specializing in additive manufacturing and design of printed spinal implants. Earlier in their career, Brent worked at Lockheed Martin as a Manufacturing Engineer, focusing on additive manufacturing, and as an Associate Manufacturing Engineer supporting the Lockheed Martin Space Systems Additive Manufacturing Lab. Brent also had internships as an Industrial Engineer at Bell Helicopter and as a Manufacturing Engineer at Maxtec - Gas Sensing, Analysis & Delivery, where they focused on lean manufacturing and SolidWorks modeling.

Brent Hansen attended Brigham Young University from 2008 to 2014, where they obtained a degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology. Additionally, in 2014, they became a Certified Manufacturing Technologist (CMfgT) through the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.
