Martin Neil

Martin Neil has a diverse and extensive work experience in various technology and leadership roles. Martin is currently serving as the Chief Technology Transformation Officer at Vendigital since June 2020. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Information Technology at Lifespace Trust from January 2019 to May 2022. Martin also served as the Interim CIO at Obelisk Support from January 2021 to December 2021 and as a Technology Advisor at Wheelhouse Advisors Limited from August 2020 to July 2021.

Before these roles, Martin Neil held significant positions at various companies. Martin was the Global CIO at Williams Lea from September 2014 to May 2018, where they successfully delivered customer solutions using Agile, SaaS, AWS, and Mobile technologies. At DHL Supply Chain, they held multiple roles, including SVP Global Products, CIO Mainland Europe, and EVP Global IT, where they led product strategy, development, and business growth. Martin contributed to over €800m of annualized new business growth across different product lines. Martin also worked as the CIO at Unipart Group and as the Head of Consultancy at E.ON, where they led IT consulting projects for PowerGen.

Martin Neil's early career includes working as a Managing Consultant at Rio Tinto, where they implemented global operations research projects and expert systems using advanced AI tools. Martin played a crucial role in creating projects with a net present value of £100m+.

Martin Neil obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Manchester in 1982. Martin then pursued an MSc in Business & Management Systems from the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School from 1989 to 1991. In 2006, Martin attended Henley Business School for Organizational Leadership, the National University of Singapore for Business Excellence, and Babson College for Strategy.
