Michael Clarke has a diverse work experience that spans from 2011 to 2023. Michael began their career as an intern for the Deputy Commissioner of Intelligence and Counter-Terrorism at the New York City Police Department in 2011. During this internship, they assisted in planning and preventing future terror attacks by investigating potential terrorist activities, collecting intelligence, and developing emergency management strategies.

In 2012, Michael joined the US Navy and held various roles within the Operations Department. Michael served as a Land Attack Warfare Officer, where they led cruise missile planning and naval shore bombardment teams while deployed to South East Asia. Michael also served as a Navigation Officer aboard the USS Howard, overseeing afloat administration, medical readiness, and navigation.

From 2017 to 2020, Michael served as the Maritime Mobility Operations Head, responsible for planning and managing high-risk training for Naval Special Warfare operations. Michael also had logistical responsibilities for a fleet of small craft and managed budgets and equipment worth millions of dollars. In 2020, they became the Operations Department Head based in Manama, Bahrain, where they were responsible for planning and executing afloat mine countermeasure operations and maritime security operations.

Since 2023, Michael has been working as a Project Management Consultant at Ventus Solutions (VES). Michael provides specialized support to the Office of the Secretary of Defense Strategic Capabilities Office, planning and analyzing capabilities to counter current and emerging threats. Their work focuses on overcoming or addressing the Anti-Access Area-Denial environment.

Michael Clarke received a Bachelor of Science degree in Logistics and Maritime Transportation from the United States Merchant Marine Academy from 2008 to 2012. Michael then pursued a Master of Science degree in International Relations and National Security Studies from Troy University, completing it from 2018 to 2021. Additionally, they obtained certifications such as Top Secret/SCI from the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) in June 2018 and National 2nd Mate Unlimited OC from the U.S. Coast Guard in July 2012. Further certifications include Advanced Open Water Diver from PADI and USPA B License from the U.S. Parachute Association (USPA), although the months and years of obtaining these certifications are not provided.
