Kye Gilder has over 20 years of work experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. They are currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Biometrics at Ventyx Biosciences, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing oral medicines for autoimmune and inflammatory disorders. Prior to this, Kye held the position of Vice President of Biostatistics and Data Management at Arena Pharmaceuticals from 2018 to 2023, where they worked on the development of novel small molecule drugs. Kye also served as Vice President of Biometrics at Orexigen Therapeutics from 2013 to 2018, contributing to the treatment of obesity. Before transitioning to the biopharmaceutical industry, Kye worked as the Director of Biometrics at NuVasive from 2010 to 2017. They began their career as a Commissioned Officer in the U.S. Coast Guard, serving from 1994 to 2003.
Kye Gilder has a strong educational background with multiple degrees in various fields. Kye obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics & Computer Science (High Honors) from the US Coast Guard Academy between 1990 and 1994. Continuing with a focus on higher education, Kye went on to earn two Master of Science degrees. The first was in Statistics from Stanford University, completed between 1996 and 1997. The second was in Operations Research (Applied Mathematics) from the same institution, accomplished between 1997 and 1998. Finally, Kye pursued a Ph.D. in Statistics at the University of Rhode Island from 2000 to 2003.
