Invention and Patents Strategy at Venus Aerospace

Christian Bailey has a diverse work experience in the field of invention and patents strategy. Christian began their career in 2005 as the Co-founder and Co-CEO of Lincoln Group, where they developed advanced technologies for the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community. The company was later acquired in 2008.

In 2008, Christian became the Managing Partner at incTANK Ventures, a role they held until 2012. During this time, they also co-founded and served as the CEO of Ligon Discovery, a position they held from 2010 to 2011.

In 2020, Christian joined Venus Aerospace as part of their invention and patents strategy team. Christian then moved on to ZeroAvia and REGENT in 2021, continuing their work in the same field.

Christian's most recent roles include being a Venture Partner and the Chief Scientist at UP.Partners. As a Venture Partner, they joined the company in July 2021, and as the Chief Scientist, they were responsible for building and investing in technologies that facilitate cleaner, faster, safer, and more cost-effective transportation solutions across different modes.

Christian is also the Co-founder and Chief Scientist of Curated Innovation, a position they have held since 2008.

Christian Bailey completed a Fellowship in Molecular Biology, Materials Science, and Aerospace from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2008 to 2011. Additionally, they hold a BA and MA from the University of Oxford. Christian also has certifications as a Certificated Flight Instructor in Airplanes and Helicopters, as well as a Commercial Pilot in Airplanes and Helicopters, both obtained from the Federal Aviation Administration.
