Thomas Carhart has held various roles throughout their work experience. In 1997, they served as the Director of Marketing at Compaq Computer Corporation, and from 1998 to 2001, they were the VP of Product Marketing & Business Development at ReplayTV. In 2002, Carhart founded QDesign and served as the Founder/CEO until 2005, simultaneously founding AudioFeast, a mobile internet radio service. From 2005 to 2010, they held the positions of VP of Strategy and Corporate Development and later VP of Marketing & Business Development at Hewlett-Packard. Carhart then joined Polycom as SVP of Strategy and Corporate Business Development, where they led strategic transformations and achieved notable success. Their next role was at Mitel, where they served as a Strategy and Corporate Business Development Leader, focusing on strategic planning and partnerships. From 2019 to 2020, Carhart was a Partner at Skayne, and in 2020, they joined Wasatch Strategy as Principal. In 2022, they worked as the FP&A Transformation and Lead at Edgio, and in 2023, they became the Head of the Cloud Transformation Office at Veritas Technologies LLC.

Thomas Carhart earned an MBA in General Management from Harvard Business School in 1993. Prior to that, they received a Master of Engineering in Electrical (RF and SW Design Automation) from the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth from 1986 to 1988. Thomas completed their undergraduate education at Dartmouth College from 1982 to 1986, earning an AB in Engineering and Liberal Arts.
