Joe Wlad

Joe Wlad has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Joe is currently serving as a Lieutenant in the Civil Air Patrol. Prior to this, they held positions at various companies. At Verocel, Inc., they served as the Vice President of Business Development, Sales, and Marketing, leading their efforts across aerospace, industrial, and automotive industries. At Wind River, they were the Senior Director of Software Certification, responsible for ensuring compliance with industry standards and leading initiatives for military aircraft programs. Joe also worked as a Principal at Safe Software Consulting, specializing in Real-Time embedded COTS operating systems and RTCA/DO-178 certification. Further, they held the position of Director of Certification, Services, and Marketing at LynuxWorks. Joe also worked at Trimble Navigation as an Engineering Manager, at United Airlines as a Staff Engineer, at McDonnell Douglas as a Senior Flight Test Engineer, and at Intermetrics, Inc. as a Systems Engineer. Throughout their career, Joe has demonstrated strong leadership, expertise in software certification, and a focus on safety-critical markets.

Joe Wlad attended Santa Clara University from 1996 to 2000 and earned an MBA degree with a focus on Finance and Marketing. Prior to that, from 1980 to 1984, they studied Aerospace Engineering at the University at Buffalo and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree.
