Sara Garcia is Associate Principal Scientist, Computational Biology at Verve Therapeutics with expertise in genome editing safety. Prior to joining Verve, she was a computational biologist in the Molecular Pathology Unit at Massachusetts General Hospital, where she conducted research in the areas of genome editing and cancer. She completed research fellowships at the Dana-Faber Cancer Institute, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and the University of Cambridge. Dr. Garcia received her Ph.D. in biology from the New University of Lisbon, where she studied the dynamics of biological systems from time series. She has authored or contributed to more than 30 research papers.
