Roger Sy

Roger Sy has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Currently, they are serving as the Director of Software Engineering at VGS (Very Good Security) starting from 2023. Prior to this, Roger held various positions at PayPal, including Director of Engineering, Payments, Sr Manager, Software Development, Manager, Software Development 2, MTS 2 Software Engineer, and MTS 1 Software Engineer. At PayPal, they successfully led global teams, managed direct reports, and was responsible for the modernization of the Payments platform. Additionally, Roger worked at companies like Autonomy, Verity Inc, Pathlink Technology Inc, and Allied Banking Corporation, gaining experience in roles such as Architect, Principal Software Engineer, and Senior Software Engineer.

Roger Sy has a degree in BS Industrial Engineering and Computer Science from the University of the Philippines Diliman.
