Leonardo Maerschner Pontes has a diverse range of work experience. Leonardo started as a Mechanical Vibrations Laboratory research group member at the Federal University of Ceará in 2011. Leonardo then had an internship as a Mechanical Engineer at SCHAEFFER INDUSTRIE in 2013. Leonardo worked as a Production Supervisor at the Naval Industry of Ceará in 2014 before becoming a Mechanical Engineer at POSCO E&C from 2015 to 2016. After that, they worked as a Plant Maintenance Coordinator at ELIS from 2017 to 2019, where they implemented a new maintenance management system. Leonardo then joined Aeris Energy as a Development Engineer in 2019, where they were responsible for designing tooling devices and overseeing projects for wind turbine blade manufacturing. Currently, they hold the position of Assistant Lead Engineer at Vestas since 2022.

Leonardo Maerschner Pontes completed their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Ceara, from 2009 to 2014. In addition, they pursued further education and received a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Université de Lorraine - Unité de Formation et de Recherche Mathématique, Informatique et Mécanique in 2013. Alongside their academic achievements, Leonardo has acquired several certifications, including Six Sigma: Green Belt from LinkedIn in March 2022, General course of Intellectual Property from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in March 2021, Autodesk Inventor Nastran from MAPData Tecnologia, Informática e Comércio LTDA in November 2020, Level II Machine Lubricant Analyst (MLA) from Noria Corporation in November 2016, and Level I Machine Lubrication Technician (MLT I) from Noria Corporation in September 2016.
