Richard Sating

Richard Sating has over 30 years of technical expertise as a Full Stack Technologist. Richard founded and serves as the CEO and CTO of Softcrafted Systems, where they utilize their skills in embedded devices, signal processing, machine learning, data science, and more. Richard has also developed experience in company management, client account management, project management, and team leadership. Richard has worked as an independent MATLAB consultant, specializing in MATLAB consulting projects, from 1990 to the present. Richard has also held roles as an Embedded Software Engineer at Canyon AeroConnect, an Independent Consultant - Embedded Controls Engineer at an International Energy Company, and a Senior Engineer at VetGuardian, Siemens Healthineers, Aurora Flight Sciences Corporation, Applied Materials, ZOLL Medical Corporation, and Align Technology. In these positions, they have worked on various projects involving software development, digital twin models, ultrasound automation, avionics, image processing, and critical care medical devices.

Richard Sating holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) with a specialization in Guidance and Control from the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology. Prior to their master's degree, they completed their undergraduate studies at The Ohio State University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE). In addition to their academic qualifications, Richard also holds a certification as an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, which they obtained from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in August 2019.
