Colin Tang

Research Scientist - Mosaic Platform Lead at Vevo

Colin Tang has a diverse background in biomedical research. Colin is currently working at Vevo Therapeutics as a Research Scientist and Mosaic Platform Lead. Prior to this, they worked at ArsenalBio as a Scientist, where they performed large-scale genetic screens and optimized perturb seq for T-cell exhaustion and expansion studies. Colin also led high throughput pooled screens to test shRNA efficiency. Before joining ArsenalBio, Colin worked at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center as a Computational Biologist and PhD Graduate Student. In these roles, they studied drug resistance mechanisms and analyzed high throughput sequencing data. Colin also utilized biological and biochemical techniques to investigate drug resistance mechanisms. Colin's earlier experience includes working as a Junior Research Scientist at New York University, where they studied the mechanism of lagging strand DNA replication in S. cerevisiae. Additionally, they worked as a Research Assistant at Weill Cornell Medical College and as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Washington.

Colin Tang pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Washington from 2009 to 2013. Subsequently, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Pharmacology from the Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences, completing their studies in 2021.
