Miguel Testa

Miguel Testa has a diverse work history spanning various roles and industries. Miguel most recently worked at Vial, starting as a Senior Software Development Lead in March 2022, then progressing to Director of Engineering in November 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Engineering. Prior to Vial, Miguel was a Mentor at Lighthouse Labs, providing guidance and support to others in the field of software development. Miguel also worked as a Software Developer at Later from July 2020 to March 2022. Miguel's entrepreneurial side is evident through their role as Technical Co-founder of PigeonBox from April 2018 to June 2021. Additionally, they gained teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant at the University of British Columbia Electrical and Computer Engineering. Miguel also co-founded PanoRabbit and served as a Co-Founder from September 2016 to April 2018. Miguel further expanded their expertise by working as a Course Instructor at RED Academy, teaching the fundamentals of VR, AR, and mixed reality. Miguel's earlier experience includes a role as a Senior Production Services Technician at Sony Pictures Imageworks and a Sales Consultant at Future Shop. Miguel has also worked as a Senior Marketing Consultant at The Acquisition Group.

Miguel Testa completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The University of British Columbia. Miguel attended the university from 2012 to 2018. In addition, Miguel has obtained additional certifications including a Learning Terraform certificate from LinkedIn in March 2021 and a JavaScript (Basic) Certificate from HackerRank in September 2020.
