Your Role and Impact

If you have a passion for technology, particularly visual solutions like monitors, large format displays, digital signage, projectors, and interactive panels, read on! As a BDR at ViewSonic, you are the leading edge of our outbound communication with prospective customers. In this role, you will focus on large public sector governmental agencies with thousands of employees. You will use our state-of-the art contact database. You will have access to all the information you need to target the right IT influencers and decision makers at targeted companies. You will reach out by email and phone. Your goal is to engage them, gain their interest in our solutions, give them samples to try, and then deliver these prospective customers to our outside sales team for further nurturing.   As you can imagine, this position is a great way to gain the experience you need to move into outside sales.

Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Participate in the creation and refinement of the outbound communication plan for all accounts

  • Using supplied ABM and CRM tools, develop contact lists (by identifying the right personnel in the targeted companies) for email campaign distribution

  • Build out “Sales Flow” campaigns for prospect accounts in the assigned geographic territories. Sales Flows will consist of a pre-defined email and phone follow up plan for each initiative

  • Pro-actively establish relationships and provide ViewSonic product, promotion, sales support and general pricing information to increase ViewSonic market share and sales within a defined set of accounts and defined geography

  • Respond to inquiries and “mine” accounts for actionable information (current standards, current reseller partners, unmet needs, key influencers whom we should contact)

  • Arrange placement of evaluation units. This will require follow up with the prospect, obtaining written agreement on eval paperwork, and providing tracking information once we ship the samples

  • Develop trust and cooperative relationships with all internal “customers” of the BDM group (Enterprise Sales teams, National Accounts, ProAV, SMB resellers, etc.)

  • Maintain all assigned account and opportunity information within SalesForce.com

  • Communicate market conditions internally

  • Work with Product Managers to gain key market and customer insight

  • Proactively contact customers with any new sales opportunities including ATP and promotion activities

  • May attend trade shows or visit customers on site when required by Sales Management

  • May perform other projects and duties assigned.

Your Profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent, 4-year college degree preferred

  • Familiar with ABM and CRM tools including and not limited to: ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, CrunchBase, Lusha, or other prospecting solutions

  • 2 - 3 years of experience with inside sales and preferably with technology and electronics industry.

  • IT reseller experience or prior experience working with government end-users preferred.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint) and conducting professional online meeting/webinars

  • The ability to understand and comprehend new technology innovations and market them to new customers

  • Must be able to work independently and prioritize both revenue generating and non-revenue generating activities

  • Strong ability to actively listen and determine customer needs

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong organizational skills, discipline, with attention to detail and ability to balance multiple tasks

  • Highly motivated, high energy, “can do" attitude, competitive self-starter with strong sense of urgency

  • Experience with SalesForce.com highly desirable

Work Environment & Requirements
