Sebastian Blissett

Sebastian Blissett has a wealth of experience in software engineering, information security, and IT consulting. Sebastian began their career in 2010 as a Tutor/General Assistant at Edmonds Community College, where they entered student information into Microsoft Access, assisted students with math levels and computer science, and helped students figure out the logic of certain functions in their programs. In 2011, they became an Assistant Career Advisor at the University of Washington Bothell, where they created and implemented a computer program using JAVA, updated the career center website, and assisted students in developing their resumes and cover letters. Sebastian also held the role of ACM Marketing and Communication Officer at the same university in 2011. In 2012, they became an IT Student Assistant at the University of Washington Bothell and an Information Security Intern at the Boeing Company, where they worked on tasks to secure communication for a program running on the network, used multiple Certificate Authorities to allow SSL communication, and assisted users of the application with Certificate installation and keystore/truststore management. Sebastian also held the role of DOR IT Consultant at the University of Washington Bothell in 2012, where they helped troubleshoot technical problems, created multimedia projects for DOR Leads, and re-innovated and maintained the DOR and MATCH websites. From 2013 to 2020, they worked at Amazon as a Software Development Engineer II and a Software Development Engineer. In 2020, they began working as a Software Engineer at VIOLET.

Sebastian Blissett received a Bachelor of Science in Computing Science and Software Engineering from the University of Washington in 2013. Prior to that, they earned an Associates of Science in Computer Science from Edmonds College in 2011.
