Darrian Newman is a Senior Research Associate at Viridos, where they work on the Strain Development team focusing on engineering algal chloroplast and nuclear genomes to increase lipid productivity. Prior to this role, at the Colorado School of Mines, Darrian was a Research Assistant under Dr. Nanette Boyle, where they used genetic engineering, analytical chemistry, and computational biology to improve cyanobacterial systems for better production of chemical feedstocks.
