Barend Receveur

Barend Receveur is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in the biopharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Currently serving as Engineering Manager at Viroclinics Biosciences BV since July 2021, Barend oversees projects involving preclinical services related to viral infectious diseases. Prior to this role, Barend worked at Bilthoven Biologicals as Engineering Project Manager, where responsibilities included managing the development of a new IPV bulk plant and contract manufacturing of monoclonal antibodies. Previous positions at NVI involved leadership in plant engineering, project management, and engineering roles focused on vaccine production. Barend began a career in the engineering field as an Application Engineer at Stork Process Management and Control and later served as an Account Manager at Swagelok Nederland. Barend holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Twente.
