Yanal Murad, PhD, D(ABMM) has worked in a variety of roles since 2005. In 2005, they were a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Rush University Medical Center. In 2006, they were a Research Associate at Duke University. From 2009 to 2012, they were a Research Associate Officer at the National Research Council. During this same time, they were also a Scientist and Principal Investigator at the Health Sciences North Research Institute/L’Institut de recherches d’Horizon Santé-Nord, and a Medical Microbiologist at Health Sciences North/Horizon Santé-Nord. In 2012, they became an Assistant Professor at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine. Since 2016, they have been a Senior Director of Research, Group Leader - Cancer Immunotherapy, Director of Research, and Senior Scientist at Virogin Biotech.

Yanal Murad, PhD, D(ABMM) has an extensive education history. Yanal Murad, obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology/Technologist from the University of Jordan between 1991 and 1996. Yanal Murad, then went on to receive a Master of Science (MS) in Medical Technology from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science between 1997 and 1999. In 1999, they began their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biochemistry at Rush University, which they completed in 2005. In 2012, they obtained an Advanced Certificate in International Biological Sciences Security Management from Carleton University. Additionally, in 2012, they obtained a Medical Laboratory Technologist - MLT certification from the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Sciences. In 2016, they obtained a certification from the American Board of Medical Microbiology from the American Society for Microbiology.
