Product Manager, Sustainability Services

We are looking for a Product Manager to join our Energy Market Services team. As a Product Manager of Sustainability Services at Virta you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation and continuous improvement of our EV-charging related emission trading and guarantee of renewable origin services. In this position you will gain unique experience from working in the rapidly growing sustainability service market at the cross-section of e-mobility and energy transition. You will be both responsible and accountable for commercialization, productization and the management of related tools and processes. You will work closely with technology development and business teams as well as Virta’s international sales organization to deliver world-class sustainability-related services for our customers.

What you will do:

• Collaborate effectively with product, technology, brand, and design teams to enable real customer value streams and enhance brand experience of our sustainability services.
• Keep abreast of regulation on emission trading and guarantees of origin and update our services as required.
• Ensure business operations continuity by engaging relevant stakeholders and personally completing relevant operational tasks
• Gather customer feedback and market research to identify areas for product improvement.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of tools and processes used in emission trading and Guarantees of Origin.
• Collect and analyse feedback from customers, stakeholders, and other teams to shape requirements, features, and end products

What you will bring:

This is a rapidly evolving role requiring both commercial mindset and hands-on approach to all types of operational tasks. You are persistent and determined in completing your tasks, even if building a simple solution to complex problem would take time and effort. You are open-minded, curious and persevere asking hard questions. You remain calm and professional under pressure and work collaboratively across the organisation.

In addition you have:

• Proven experience as a Product Manager or similar role in a technology company

• Genuine interest and experience in European emission trading mechanisms and guarantees of renewable energy origin. Experience on global markets outside Europe is considered a plus. You should be familiar with at least some of the below:

  • RED II & III EU directives
  • THG-Quotenhandel
  • Tiruert
  • ePrämie

• Degree in environmental sciences and/or finance or related field.

• Fluency in English both written and verbal. Ability to work with Swedish, German and/or French is seen as an advantage.

• Excellent communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders

• Ability and willingness to work with spreadsheets.

• Solution focused attitude and perseverance to achieve tangible product outcomes.

• Experience working with agile software development, product lifecycle management or data analytics would be an advantage.
