Sheilah Hoelscher

Sheilah Hoelscher has a strong background as a software architect and engineer with over 20 years of experience. Sheilah began their career in 1997 at WorldStreet Corporation as a Senior Software Engineer, where they worked until 2001. Sheilah then joined Centive Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer from 2002 to 2003. After that, they worked as a Principal at PL Logic from 2003 to 2005.

In 2005, Sheilah joined EBSCO Publishing as a Senior Software Engineer, where they were responsible for the architecture of backend server processes and systems. Sheilah worked extensively with Java and open source tools such as MySQL, JBOSS, and Apache/Tomcat. Sheilah also conducted research into new technologies and made recommendations on technology choices.

From 2009 to 2015, Sheilah worked at Intuit in various roles, including Senior Software Engineer and Staff Software Engineer. During their time at Intuit, they served as tech lead for the GoPayment server team and primarily worked on web service development in Java on JBOSS and Tomcat. Sheilah also gained experience in iOS and Android programming.

Since 2016, Sheilah has been working at Vista Higher Learning as a Software Architect, where they continue to use their expertise in software architecture and development.
