Erika Allen has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Erika started their career as a Content Writer at BlueGlass Interactive, where they conducted research and produced content for various clients. Erika then worked as a Copywriter and Communications Specialist at Triad Retail Media, where they wrote internal communications, social media posts, and edited sales communications.

Erika later joined Apollidon Learning as a Content Writer/Editor, where they conducted market research and provided recommendations on pricing and marketing strategies for clients. Erika then worked at Viaero Wireless as a Marketing Communications Specialist, where they planned and wrote marketing materials and assisted in internal communications.

Erika had a brief stint as a Copywriter at Door to Door Organics, where they wrote and edited consumer emails, blogs, and landing page copy. Erika also worked as a Freelance Writer, researching and writing web content on various topics for different clients.

Erika then transitioned to the field of scientific research, starting as a Student and later becoming a Student Research Assistant at Colorado State University. In these roles, they conducted experiments, grew and maintained cell cultures, and handled and dosed animals for drug safety trials. Erika also gained experience in sterile technique and worked in BSL-2 and BSL-3 settings.

Erika then worked as a Quality Control Contractor at Novartis Gene Therapies, where they completed GMP training and performed laboratory tasks. After that, they worked at the University of Denver as a Quality Control Manager, overseeing robotic RNA extractions and RT-PCR on clinical saliva samples and developing documentation for the laboratory's CLIA accreditation.

Currently, Erika is working at Vitalant as a Research Associate, performing lab work for internal and external projects and acting as the safety representative for the team. Erika maintains equipment and documentation per cGMP standards.

Throughout their career, Erika has demonstrated strong research, writing, and communication skills in various professional settings.

Erika Allen's education history includes a Master of Science (MS) degree in Microbiology and Immunology from Colorado State University, obtained from 2019 to 2020. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English at Florida State University from 2009 to 2012. In addition to their formal education, Erika has also acquired certifications in Laboratory Quality Management System from the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) in July 2022, and in Data Fluency: Exploring and Describing Data from LinkedIn in June 2021.
