Jim Walsh

Jim has more than 25 years of experience in information technology management with expertise that includes cloud computing, storage, data center management, visualization, network security, and disaster recovery. At VMD, Jim continually evolves the technology ecosystem and brings cutting edge solutions to the company and to the customers. He and his team are an instrumental part of the ability to deliver mission-critical work to customers.

Before joining VMD, Jim founded Advanced IT Services (AITS), a successful IT services provider, serving federal and commercial clients in the D.C. area for more than a decade. He also served as its CEO. Before that, he was a Senior Systems Architect at Catapult Technologies. Jim is an active Project Management Institute (PMI) member, sits on the boards of three different non-profit organizations, and has had several designs and solutions published in the Dell Power Solutions magazine.
