Supun Kamburugamuve Loku Acharige

Supun Kamburugamuve has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Currently, they work at Voltron Data as a Software Engineering Manager since November 2021. Before that, they spent a significant portion of their career at Indiana University Bloomington, where they held two roles. From June 2018 to November 2021, Supun served as a Principal Software Engineer, contributing to the development of the Twister2 and Cylon data analytics projects. Prior to that, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant from August 2011 to May 2018, focusing on sensor networks research and Massive Online Course development.

Prior to joining Indiana University, Supun worked at WSO2, where they took on various roles. From October 2010 to August 2011, they were the Manager of WSO2 ESB, leading the design and development of the open-source enterprise service bus and providing customer support. Before that, from April 2009 to September 2010, they served as a Senior Software Engineer, responsible for the design, development, and support of WSO2 products, particularly WSO2 ESB. Supun started their career at WSO2 as a Software Engineer from May 2008 to April 2009. Additionally, they had an internship experience at WSO2 from May 2006 to March 2007.

Supun Kamburugamuve's education history began in 2004 when they enrolled in the University of Moratuwa. Over the course of four years, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science & Engineering, completing their undergraduate studies in 2008.

After a brief break, Supun resumed their education in 2011 at Indiana University Bloomington. They pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science, completing their studies in 2013. Upon their successful completion, Supun decided to continue their academic journey and enrolled in the same institution for a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD program in Computer Science. They dedicated five years to their doctoral studies, leading to their graduation in 2018.
