Liz Metsers

Liz Metsers is an experienced professional with a diverse background in geospatial analysis and business intelligence. Currently serving as a Geospatial Specialist at Waimakariri District Council since November 2022, Liz has also held numerous roles at Fire and Emergency NZ and the New Zealand Fire Service since July 2012, including Business Intelligence Analyst and Planning and Performance Manager. Prior experience includes serving as a GIS Analyst at the Department of Conservation, where Liz provided geospatial information management services, and as an Assistant Research Fellow at the University of Otago, focusing on geostatistical modeling. Liz's educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Wildlife Management from the University of Otago, along with Bachelor's degrees in Ecology & Biodiversity and Psychology from Victoria University of Wellington and Northern Arizona University, respectively.
