Carlos Oliveira has a diverse work experience in various leadership and management roles. Carlos started their career as a Teacher at Montemor-o-Velho Secondary School in 1996. Carlos then worked as an Analyst/Programmer at CENTIS from 1997 to 1999. Following that, they joined Contar Electrónica, Grupo Janz as a Programmer/System Administrator from 1999 to 2000.

In 2000, Carlos joined Novabase and held multiple roles during their time there. Carlos started as a Team Leader and later became a Senior Project Manager/Service Manager, managing various outsourcing projects within the Telco industry. From 2005 to 2010, they served as the Director of the IT Service Management Business Unit at Novabase, where they were responsible for managing the P&L and leading a team of 35 consultants. Carlos then transitioned to the role of Head of Infrastructures and Managed Services, where they were responsible for business development, pre-sales, sales, and delivery.

In 2012, Carlos founded HAKKEN and served as the CEO and Founder until 2018. In this role, they were responsible for the overall management and strategy of the HAKKEN Group, focusing on customer and partner interactions.

From 2019 to the present, Carlos has held various positions. Carlos first worked as the Global Sales Director at Ideias Dinâmicas SGPS, where they were responsible for marketing and sales of various companies within the group, including Wakaru and ITGest. Carlos achieved significant growth in turnover during their tenure.

Currently, Carlos is the Head of Business Development and Customer Relationship at Wakaru since 2019. Carlos drives the development of technology-based solutions for event management and digital customer experience ecosystems.

Carlos Oliveira obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Technology/Computer Systems Technology from the Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa, where they studied from 2004 to 2008. Before that, they completed a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Engineering at the Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Coimbra, from 1993 to 1996. In terms of certifications, Carlos has obtained various certifications such as HP Sales Certified - Business Service Management Solutions, HP Sales Certified – IT Operations Management, HP Sales Certified – IT Performance Suite, IT Service Management Practitioner: Release & Control, IT Service Management Practitioner: Support & Restore, ITIL V3 Foundation Certification, ISO/IEC 20000 Certified Consultant, Intermediate Talent Development, Certified Process Auditor, ISO/IEC 20000 Lead Auditor, ISO/IEC 27001 Certified Implementer, BS7799 Lead Auditor, Project Management Certification, PL/SQL Programming, and Oracle 8i Architecture and Administration. These certifications were obtained between the years 2000 and 2015 from various institutions such as Hewlett Packard Enterprise, EXIN, itSMF UK, Bureau Veritas Group, and Oracle.
