Pierre Laurent

Pierre Laurent has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Pierre has held positions at various companies, including the Waldorf School of the Peninsula, where they served as Interim CEO and successfully led the school through the challenges presented by the Covid-19 pandemic. Pierre also has experience as the President of the Board of Trustees and Treasurer at the same school, where they provided strategic planning and optimized financial performance.

In addition, Pierre has worked as an Executive Advisor, providing consultation and leadership to startup CEOs in sectors such as Healthcare IT and Mobile Software. Pierre has also served as an Interim CEO on an as-needed basis.

Pierre co-founded and served as CEO of Futurefreight, where they developed a concept for container freight derivatives and secured multiple patents. Prior to that, they worked at Intel as a Senior Product Manager and at Microsoft as a Product Manager.

Pierre's expertise includes marketing, finance, operations, strategic planning, public relations, and consultation. Pierre has demonstrated their ability to navigate crises, drive revenue growth, and develop innovative concepts.

Pierre Laurent earned an MBA from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management in 1996, focusing on Marketing, General Management, and Strategy, as well as Organization Behavior. In 2016, they obtained a FinTech Certificate in Future Commerce from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Additionally, they have a Master of Science (MS) degree from ENSEEIHT - Politechnique Toulouse, France, which they completed between 1984 and 1987. Pierre'sfield of study during their MS program was Applied Math, with a minor in AI. Pierre also holds a certification in B2B Go-to-Market Strategy from LinkedIn, obtained in 2023.
