Andrea Burnside

Andrea Burnside has a strong background in transportation management and planning, with experience in both the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) and Los Angeles Metro.

At WMATA, Andrea held various leadership roles including Vice President, Performance, Data and Research, where they were responsible for guiding actions and promoting Metro's benefits through the use of performance information. Andrea also served as VP, Operations Budget, Performance and Planning, and Chief Performance Officer, where they oversaw the development of performance reports and increased accountability and transparency.

Prior to their time at WMATA, Andrea worked at Los Angeles Metro, where they served as Managing Director, Metro Operations Administration. In this role, they led a team and successfully implemented a multi-year safety initiative. Andrea also held positions as Transportation Planning Manager and Transportation Program Manager, where they played a key role in long-range planning and capital planning.
