Roger Smith

Roger Smith is a highly experienced Senior Electronics Engineer at Waters Corporation since 2015, specializing in the electronics design of mass spectrometers with a focus on FPGA design using VHDL. Prior to this, Roger served as a Principal Electronics Design Engineer at Thermo Fisher Scientific (2001-2015), where the work involved the electronics design of light electromechanical systems for hospital laboratory instruments. Roger began their career at Kimal Electronics Ltd as a Design Manager, building a design team while remaining actively engaged in electronics design. Additional experience includes roles at BAE Systems, Endress+Hauser, and UKAEA, starting as a Design Technician and progressing through various engineering and design roles. Roger holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) (Hons) degree in Applied Physics with Electronics from The University of Salford.
