Ryan Williams has a diverse range of experience in the field of cybersecurity. Ryan has held multiple roles such as Cyber Security Engineer (SOC Ops Lead) at Waterstons Australia, where they demonstrated expertise in SOC management, incident detection and response, and team leadership. Prior to that, they established and led their own cybersecurity firm, Smart Cyber Solutions Pty Ltd, specializing in privacy and anonymity solutions. Ryan has also worked as a Contributing Security Analyst at the Safer Internet Project, where they collaborated on security projects, produced audit reports, and assessed risk. Additionally, they worked as an Offensive Security Consultant at CyberSec People, gaining insight into the recruitment challenges in the cybersecurity field. Before their cybersecurity career, Ryan had experience as a General Manager at Asymmetric Artists and as a Freelance Graphic Designer at The Ideas Man. Ryan also served as an Event Manager at TECHnique. Overall, Ryan's work experience reflects their expertise in cybersecurity, leadership, project management, and design.

Ryan Williams completed a Certificate IV in Cyber Security at Victoria University from 2020 to 2021. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Information Technology in Cyber Security at Charles Sturt University starting in 2021. They have obtained various additional certifications in different areas of cybersecurity, such as agentless threat emulation, threat intelligence analysis, Python, physical penetration testing, and more.
