Nancy Wu

Nancy Wu is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in chemical education and research. Currently serving as an Associate Professor of Teaching at Wayne State University since August 2019, Nancy has also held various teaching positions there, including Assistant Professor of Teaching and Senior Lecturer. Previously, Nancy worked at the University of Michigan from January 2013 to June 2019, initially as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Chemical Education and later as a Lecturer in Chemistry, instructing large undergraduate cohorts and facilitating graduate teaching staff meetings. Additionally, Nancy has developed innovative laboratory courses and protocols, enhancing student engagement and learning. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Chemical Biology from the University of Michigan (2017) and a BS in Chemistry from UCLA (2012). Prior research experience includes work as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at UCLA in quantum dot development for biological applications.
