Herbert Leung

Herbert Leung has over 16 years of experience in the media and production industry. Herbert currently works at Weber Shandwick as a VP, Integrated Production Studio, overseeing all projects from both Singapore and Hong Kong offices. Herbert is responsible for managing the production of video projects from development to final delivery and has created strategic plans to minimize operational costs. Prior to this role, they worked as a Senior Integrated Producer and Producer at Weber Shandwick, where they oversaw video-related content, managed production workflows, and handled budgeting and scheduling.

Previous to Weber Shandwick, Leung worked at Current Global as a Senior Producer, and at Bert Brothers Limited as a Creative Producer / Director. In these positions, they developed engaging video contents, managed all aspects of projects, and produced various types of content such as branding videos, interviews, and social videos. Herbert also worked as a Producer at Jack Morton Worldwide, where they managed a team for various events, including Google Engage APAC 2017 and the Audi Q5 launch event. Additionally, they worked as a Video Producer (Contractual) at Uniplan for a short period.

Leung's early career includes roles as a Producer / Director at Leeson Media International Ltd, Visual Producer (Director) at TVB, Coordinator at The Walt Disney Company, Art Director at Zenith Creative Company, and Production Assistant at Salon Films (H.K.) Limited. In these roles, they directed and produced content for television, managed production workflows, and developed strategic communications solutions. Herbert has also received recognition for their work, including winning a WEVA award for the best corporate & event video in 2006.

Herbert Leung began their education at St. Andrew's College in 1992, where they completed their High School Certificate in General Science. Herbert then went on to attend Ryerson University from 1999 to 2003, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) Honor in Film Studies. Following their undergraduate studies, Herbert pursued further education at Sheridan College from 2003 to 2004, focusing on Advanced Television and Film Studies at the postgraduate level.
