Jeremy Knox

Head, Policy, Infectious Disease at Wellcome Trust

Jeremy Knox serves as the Head of Policy for Infectious Diseases at the Wellcome Trust since July 2017, leading a team focused on addressing antimicrobial resistance (AMR) through global policy and advocacy initiatives. This role emphasizes the development of new interventions for antibiotic research and development, improving global governance models to combat rising AMR, and enhancing antimicrobial accessibility in low- and middle-income countries. Previously, Jeremy held positions including Policy Lead at the UK Department of Health, where policy options for supporting individuals with musculoskeletal conditions were developed, and Deputy Head of the Review on Antimicrobial Resistance, which examined the challenges posed by drug-resistant infections. Additional experience includes roles at the UK Department of Health and the NHS, along with educational qualifications in Health Policy from Imperial College London and Economics from the University of Nottingham.
