Alex Williams has a diverse work experience in roles related to community engagement, coordination, and education. They most recently served as the Director of Community Engagement at Wellpoint Care Network. Prior to that, they were a Neighborhood Safety Coordinator at Safe & Sound, Inc. and a Youth Care Worker/Program Coordinator at The Nehemiah Project, Inc. Alex also worked as an Educational Assistant/CAMP staff member at Milwaukee College Prep School. Early in their career, they served as a Team Leader and Americorps Member at City Year.
Alex Williams attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from 2012 to 2017, where they pursued a field of study in Letters and Sciences with a focus on History. Prior to this, they studied at Ball State University from 2011 to 2012, obtaining a degree in Telecommunications. They have also obtained several certifications: CPR & AED from the American Heart Association in November 2019, Graduate from the New Politics Leadership Academy in April 2018, and Youth Mental Health First Aid from AmeriCorps in October 2017.
