Laurence Bunnage has been a software engineer since 1984, when they first began working for Biochrom Ltd. In 2005, they moved to Teraview Ltd, where they wrote software for pharmaceutical and medical instrumentation. In 2009, they returned to Biochrom Ltd as a contract software developer. In 2010, they worked as a contract software engineer for Cametrics Ltd, developing control software for industrial printers. Laurence then moved to Xennia Technology as a contract software developer, where they were responsible for bug fixing and issue maintenance for Cametrics' Ixpressionist Label Designer application. In 2011, they worked as a software engineer for Iceni Mobile Ltd, developing tools for database configuration. From 2012 to 2021, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer for Thorlabs, developing control applications and libraries in C# and C++ for ThorLabs (UK) range of optical components. Laurence currently works as a Software Engineer for Wentworth Laboratories.

Laurence Bunnage's education history includes a BSc Honours 1st class in Computer Science from The Open University (1993-1998), an Hnd in Electronic Engineering from Kingston University (1981-1983), and secondary education from Rutlish School (1973-1979). Laurence also attended Aston University, but no further information is available.
