Debbie Wood

Debbie Wood has extensive experience in human resources and learning and development. Debbie has worked as the Head of Resourcing & Development at Wessex Water, overseeing talent attraction, selection, and onboarding. Prior to that, they held the position of Head of People at Pelican Business Services UK, where they focused on organizational development and employee engagement. Debbie also served as the Head of Learning and Development at Pelican Business Services, leading talent development initiatives and implementing a coaching framework. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Learning & Development Manager at Fasthosts Internet Ltd and a Learning & Development Business Partner at Hays. At Hays, they were responsible for designing and delivering personal development programs and establishing competency frameworks. Before that, they worked as a Resourcing and Development Manager at Hays, managing a team and implementing in-house resourcing models.

Debbie Wood has a strong educational background in the field of Human Resource Management (HRM). In 2011, they obtained a Level 5 Diploma in Human Resource Development (HRD) from CIPD Qualifications. Following this, they furthered their knowledge and skills by completing an Advanced Level 7 Diploma in HRM from CIPD Qualifications between 2016 and 2018. Most recently, in 2023, Debbie attended LuminaLearning and received a Lumina Practitioner certification, focusing on psychometrics and quantitative psychology. Through their diverse education, Debbie has developed a well-rounded understanding of HRM, with a specific emphasis on HRD and the utilization of psychometrics in the field.
