Andrea Browning

Andrea Browning serves as the Director of Student-Centered Learning at WestEd, with a career encompassing positions such as Senior Policy Advisor and Director of Regional Initiatives at the Mid-Atlantic Comprehensive Center. In addition to roles at WestEd, Andrea holds a board member position at The Inspired Teaching Demonstration School. Previously, the U.S. Department of Education benefited from Andrea's expertise as Team Lead for the Race to the Top-District Program, managing a significant federal investment in personalized learning. Andrea has also provided technical assistance through various roles, including Senior Program Associate at the American Youth Policy Forum and Assistant Director at the Society for Research in Child Development. Early career experiences included working as a Community Liaison for Boulder Valley School District and as an Associate Strategist at Kindred Keziah. Andrea holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education and Social Policy from Northwestern University and a Master’s in Public Administration from The George Washington University.
