Mark Wagy

Mark Wagy has a diverse work experience in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Software Engineering. Mark currently holds the position of Vice President of Artificial Intelligence at WEX, where they have previously served as the VP of Global Risk Decision Science. Prior to joining WEX, Mark co-founded Solve Finance and served as the company's Co-Founder and CTO. Mark has also worked as the Manager of AI Solutions at the Institute for Experiential AI at Northeastern University. Mark has academic experience as an Adjunct Professor at Northeastern University and as a Research Associate at Dartmouth College. Mark has also worked as a self-employed Data Science and Data Architecture Consultant. Mark has a strong educational background, having obtained a graduate research fellowship at the University of Vermont and working as a Research Assistant at MIT. Earlier in their career, Mark gained experience as a Senior Software Engineer at LexisNexis.

Mark Wagy received their Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Physics from Lewis & Clark College from 1996 to 2000. Mark then pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota from 2008 to 2012. Finally, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science from the University of Vermont from 2012 to 2016.
