W. Gene Winters

W. Gene Winters has extensive experience in the healthcare industry, primarily in financial management roles. W. Gene currently serves as the Regional CFO for the North Market at Allegiance Health Management since March 2020. Prior to this, they were the System CFO at White River Health Systems starting from August 2018.

From 2017 to 2018, Winters worked as the Division CFO at Steward Health Care. Before that, they served as the Hospital CFO at UHS from September 2013 to July 2017. W. Gene also held a similar role at Health Management Associates, Inc. from April 2011 to September 2013.

Winters has significant experience as a CFO, including roles at MedWest Health System/Haywood Regional Medical Center from January 2009 to April 2011 and Prime Hospital Management from July 2007 to January 2009.

W. Gene was also the Chain CFO/Investor at Acadia Healthcare from March 2005 to June 2007. Prior to that, they held the position of Chain CFO/CSO/Investor at Regency Hospital Company from March 2000 to June 2007.

Winters began their career as the Division CFO at Mariner Specialty Hospital Group in June 1994, which underwent several ownership changes and is currently known as Sava.

W. Gene Winters began their education in 1981 at the University of West Georgia, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Public Administration with a focus on Finance. W. Gene continued their studies the following year, from 1982 to 1983, at Georgia Highlands College, where they obtained an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Psychology. In the same year that they began their studies at the University of West Georgia, Winters also briefly attended The University of Georgia, focusing on Finance without specifying a degree pursued. Their education history spans from 1981 to 1986, during which they focused on areas such as Public Administration, Finance, and Psychology.
