Lois Johnson is a seasoned workforce development professional with extensive experience in strategic leadership and program implementation. Currently serving as the Director of Workforce Strategies at the Workforce Development Institute since December 2014, Lois focuses on the mission to enhance job sustainability in New York State. Previously, Lois held the position of Chief Strategy Officer at Innovate+Educate from July 2010 to December 2013, where collaboration was key in managing a significant $6 million initiative. As State Workforce Director at the NM Department of Workforce Solutions from May 2007 to November 2009, Lois oversaw a team of 305 employees and a $20 million budget, providing vital services to 150,000 New Mexicans annually. Additional roles include Special Projects Coordinator at the Governor’s Office of Workforce Training and Development and Executive Director of the Women's Employment and Resource Center, which Lois founded and grew significantly. Lois holds a B.A. in Psychology from the State University of New York Regents College.
