Mike Gerdes

Mike Gerdes has a diverse work experience spanning over 30 years in the aviation industry. Mike currently holds the position of Vice President of Flight Operations and Engineering at Workhorse Group Inc. Prior to that, they served as the Managing Director at Aviation Management Services LLC. Mike also worked at Southwest Airlines where they held various managerial roles, including Manager AQP/ISD and Manager of Flight Operations Training. Mike Gerdes has international experience as well, having worked as the Fleet Lead - B737 at Boeing Training Services - Korea. Mike has also provided training services and consulting as a Principle/Consultant at Positive Rate Aviation Services LLC. Mike held executive positions at ABX Air, Inc. and ATA Airlines, where they had oversight of Flight Operations and played a key role in managing global operations. Their expertise includes operations management, training, and instruction in the aviation field.

Mike Gerdes obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Science and Technology between 1990 and 1992 from Thomas Edison State University. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Business Administration degree in Business Administration and Management from Indiana Wesleyan University from 2007 to 2009.
