Rafael Oliveira, PhD

Rafael Oliveira, PhD has held a variety of roles in the engineering field since 2005. Their career began with a Field Engineer position at Exterran in 2005. In 2008, they worked as an Electronic Technician at Ingenico, followed by a Professor, Msc role at Senai RS in 2007. From 2013-2016, they worked as an Electronic Technician at Honeywell Aerospace, an Engineering Instructor and PhD student at Ryerson University, and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Toronto. In 2018, they were an Engineering Manager at Betterfrost Technologies, followed by an R&D Electrical Engineer role at Myant Inc. in 2019. Most recently, in 2020, they were a Senior Hardware Developer at JDRF Electromag Engineering Inc., and is currently the Director Of Engineering at Worksport (NASDAQ: WKSP).

Rafael Oliveira, PhD began their educational journey in 1996 when they completed their Automation and Control Engineering degree from Pontificia Universidade Catolica do Rio Grande do Sul. Rafael then went on to pursue a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Energy Quality and Power Electronics from the same university, which they completed in 2005. In 2013, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Energy Systems and HVDC Power Converters from Ryerson University. Finally, they completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Automotive Wireless Power Transfer from the University of Toronto in 2018.
